TAT/TET Exam Preparation

TET & TAT both exams are mandatory to make individuals eligible for teaching job in Govt. school consequently at primary and secondary school level. After getting B.Ed. degree every trainee has to take this exam for becoming a teacher. Our college has designed a program for complete preparation of these exams during the study of their B.Ed. study that our students need not any separate classes for such tests. These classes are the part of regular time table and mock exams were conducted on regular intervals.

Education Forum

Education forum is another unique practice of our college. Each student has to select one contemporary educational topic or issue apart from curriculum and present his / her thoughts on it. After presentation there is an interactive discussion session. Education Forum provides a platform to the trainees to improve their presentation skills and sense of discussion. Trainees enjoy freedom of thoughts and on emerging issues and areas of their interest. Effective forum topics are open-ended and designed to encourage students to take a position on issues. To respond to a forum topic requires organized thought and synthesis of concepts. By the fruitful discussion in forum, teacher trainees may learn about the concept / topic from another perspective.

Mentoring

Mentoring is one of the healthy practices of our college. Every faculty is allotted 12-14 students in their mentor group. Mentor teacher takes care of the mentee from beginning of the progrmnme till successful completion of the course. Academic and social problems are taken care of by mentors to ensure optimum regularity. Mentor Identifies students’ financial constraints and offer them various scopes and guide them to overcome such issues. There is a provision of one lecture for mentor in our timetable. Special Mentoring Session arranged by mentor as per requirement. Every mentor has to maintain the records of their students. Mentor takes a feedback of various activities conducted in the college and to guide the trainees for further improvement in that regard. Mentors try to provide “Earn while learn” opportunity to needy trainees.

Shree M.M Patel Merit Scholarship

Shree Maneklal M. Patel Memorial Scholarship is awarded to meritorious students of the college. This Scholarship is given in the memory of Late Shri M. M. Patel, Who was visionary and dynamic entrepreneur in the field of education. The scholarship is given on the basis of Merit from the previous year’s result of the Student.

Internship with Stipend

There’s no substitute for hands-on experience. To provide the hands on experience to the B.Ed. trainees, there is a provision of 20 week internship in the school. We are trying our best to help the students in getting stipend from the schools during their internship programme.

Yoga and Meditation

The present-day lifestyle calls for the need for Yoga and meditation, and these two should indeed be placed on an upper pedestal, in order to achieve the overall development of a teacher trainee. As these two play an important role, they should be inculcated in the curriculum. Meditation and Yoga can contribute directly to improve mental focus and concentration among trainees. It involves long, deep, slow breathing, as well as the coordination of mental concentration. On every Saturday we have a Yoga and meditation classes. We also invite experts for spiritual development of our trainees.
